Main Drive encountered significant challenges in production and quality management due to a lack of real-time visibility into production status and capacity, leading to delays in reporting and inefficient coordination. The absence of an integrated information management system made it difficult to manage operations effectively, while urgent insert orders frequently disrupted production schedules, causing operational instability. Additionally, managing serial numbers across semi-finished, finished, and outsourced components was error-prone, as product identification based solely on serial numbers proved inefficient.
In terms of quality management, processes relied heavily on manual measurement and handwritten data recording. Inspection results were calculated by hand and entered into separate systems, making the process labor-intensive. The use of various inspection instruments that generated different file formats complicated data consolidation and analysis, leading to a higher risk of errors and impacting the overall reliability of quality control outcomes.
